Scripture: 1 Sam 16:7

But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

¹⁵ “If your brother sins against you, go and show him his fault, just between the two of you. If he listens to you, you have won your brother over. ¹⁶ But if he will not listen, take one or two others along, so that ‘every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.’(cf. Deut.19:15) ¹⁷ If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; and if he refuses to listen even to the church, treat him as you would a pagan or a tax collector.

Kinds of people to reach out to: L.O.V.E.

• Lost – unsaved, unresolved, undecided, unsettled, unholy (lawless)
• Oppressed – bound, tormented, depressed, discouraged
• Valueless – discarded, considered as worthless, useless, hopeless and 2nd-rated
• Errant – wayward, strayed, drifted, misbehaved, condemned
