Be Steadfast in Giving
In the final message of the “Be Steadfast” series, Pastor Glen Lim spoke on the importance of being steadfast in giving—not just in finances, but in our whole-hearted devotion to God.
Key Takeaways from the Sermon:
1️⃣ Give Your Whole Being to God – True giving begins with surrender. (Romans 12:1-2) God desires our heart, our life, and our obedience more than anything else. When we commit fully to Him, giving becomes a natural outflow of our devotion.
2️⃣ Give Your Time – Every second, every day, every season is a gift from God. We are called to use our time wisely, setting aside moments for prayer, worship, service, and family. Prioritizing God in our schedule shows our commitment to His work.
3️⃣ Give Your Talents – God has given each of us unique skills, gifts, and abilities to serve His kingdom. Whether in music, hospitality, administration, teaching, or helping others, we are called to use our talents for His glory. (Romans 12:6-8)
4️⃣ Give Your Treasure – Everything we have comes from God. Our financial giving is an act of worship, obedience, and trust. (Malachi 3:10) When we give cheerfully and generously, God blesses us abundantly, not just materially, but in every aspect of life.
5️⃣ Sowing & Reaping – “Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” (Galatians 6:9) Giving is an investment in eternity, and God sees and rewards every act of faithfulness.
🔑 Key Scripture: 1 Corinthians 15:58 & Galatians 6:9
As believers, we are called to live with open hands and open hearts—giving our time, talents, and treasures freely for His kingdom. Let’s be steadfast in generosity, faithful in service, and unwavering in our commitment to God.
