Gideon – Faith from Fear
Continuing our Bible Heroes series, Pastor Peter Lui shared the inspiring story of Gideon, a man who started off in fear and doubt, but became a mighty warrior through God’s calling and power.
From Judges 6–7, Gideon’s journey reminds us that God doesn’t call the qualified—He qualifies the called.
Here are 4 powerful lessons from Gideon’s life:
1️⃣ God Sees Potential in You
Gideon saw himself as weak, unqualified, and the least in his family. But God called him “Mighty Warrior” and chose him to save Israel from the Midianites.
➡️ God doesn’t see who you are right now—He sees who you can become in Him.
➡️ You may feel insignificant, but God sees a conqueror.
2️⃣ God is Patient with Our Doubts
Gideon tested God with not one, but two fleece requests. Instead of rebuking him, God graciously confirmed His word.
➡️ Sometimes we struggle to trust, but God meets us with patience and reassurance.
➡️ Faith isn’t the absence of doubt—it’s choosing to trust anyway.
3️⃣ God Works Through Small Beginnings
God reduced Gideon’s army from 32,000 to just 300 men to show that victory comes from Him—not our strength.
➡️ It’s not about how many or how much you have—God is enough.
➡️ Whether it’s your resources, talents, or time—when placed in God’s hands, miracles happen.
4️⃣ God Never Does Things in Half Measures
With nothing more than trumpets, jars, and torches, God gave Gideon a miraculous victory over 135,000 Midianites.
➡️ When God moves, He moves in power, abundance, and purpose.
➡️ Trusting and obeying Him opens the door to divine breakthroughs.

💬 Final Reminder:
It’s not how great your faith is, but how great your God is.
Small faith in a big God is enough to move mountains.
