RESURRECTION JESUS The One and Only Living Savior
Sermon by Pastor Glen Lim
On Resurrection Sunday, Pastor Glen Lim reminds us of the core of the Christian faith:
we serve a living Savior.
Matthew 28:6 declares:
“He is not here; He has risen, just as He said.”
This is not just a moment in history—it is the foundation of our hope today.
A Living Savior, Not a Dead Religion
Christianity is not built on rituals, statues, or memories. It is built on the reality that Jesus rose from the dead and is alive forevermore.
Unlike any other religious figure, Jesus:
- Predicted His death and resurrection
- Fulfilled His promise
- Was seen by hundreds after rising again
The empty tomb, the rolled-away stone, and the many eyewitnesses all point to one truth:
Jesus is alive.
1. Jesus is Real and True
Jesus boldly declared,
“I am the resurrection and the life.”
No other leader in history made such a claim—and then proved it.
The resurrection confirms:
- Jesus is not a myth or legend
- He is the true Son of God
- Our faith is not blind, but anchored in reality
Even today, believers trust in Him—not because they have seen Him physically, but because they have encountered Him personally.
2. Jesus is Reliable and Trustworthy
The angel’s words are powerful:
“He has risen, just as He said.”
Jesus is not like man who makes promises and fails to keep them. Everything He speaks comes to pass.
Because He rose again, we can trust:
- His promises are true
- His Word is dependable
- His power is real
If He conquered death, then nothing is impossible for Him.
This means:
- He will never leave us
- He will provide for us
- He will fulfill His purpose in our lives
Our confidence is not in circumstances, but in a faithful Savior.
3. Jesus is Reachable and Personal
The resurrection also reveals that Jesus is not distant—He is near.
Scripture reminds us:
- He is near to the brokenhearted
- He is present in times of trouble
- He invites us to come boldly to Him
Because He lives:
- We can pray and be heard
- We can call and receive help
- We can draw near and experience His presence
He is not a faraway God, but a loving Father who cares deeply for His people.
The Power of the Resurrection
Because Jesus rose from the dead:
- Our sins are fully forgiven
- Our salvation is secure
- Death is not the end
- Eternal life is real
Our hope is not temporary or uncertain—it is alive.
As Jesus said:
“Because I live, you also will live.”
A Call to Respond
Resurrection Sunday is not just about celebration—it is about decision.
Pastor Glen gives a simple response:
A – Accept Jesus as Lord and Savior
Salvation begins with surrender.
B – Believe in His love and promises
Trust that He is who He says He is.
C – Come to Him
Step forward in faith, humility, and expectation.
Final Reflection
In a world full of uncertainty, fear, and brokenness, one truth remains unshaken:
Jesus is alive.
He is:
- Real and true
- Reliable and trustworthy
- Reachable and personal
And because He lives,
we have hope, purpose, and eternal life.
The question is no longer whether He is alive—
the question is: will you respond to Him today?
