Steadfast in Moving Forward

Steadfast in Moving Forward

In last Sunday’s message, Dr. Fred Toke inspired us to leave behind the burdens of the past and embrace the future God has planned for us. Drawing from John 5:6, he shared the story of the lame man at the Pool of Bethesda who, after 38 years of waiting, encountered Jesus and experienced holistic healing.

Key Takeaways from the Sermon:

1️⃣ Holistic Healing: God’s desire is for us to be whole—not just physically healed but emotionally and spiritually renewed. Jesus asks, “Do you want to get well?” prompting us to surrender our bitterness and hurts to Him.

2️⃣ Let Go of Bitterness: Like the lame man, many of us hold onto past grievances and blame others for our pain. Letting go is a critical step toward healing and moving forward in faith.

3️⃣ Reconciliation: Through the story of Onesimus and Philemon, we learn the power of forgiveness and restoration in relationships. God calls us to seek reconciliation and live in harmony with others.

4️⃣ Trust in God’s Timing: Even when we don’t understand His plans, God’s timing is always perfect. His presence sustains us through challenges, and His grace is sufficient to carry us forward.

5️⃣ Be a Light to the World: Our testimonies of God’s healing and transformation can shine as a beacon of hope to those around us. Allow God to work through your imperfections to bring His light to others.

🔑 Key Scripture: John 5:6

As we move forward into the new week, may we stand steadfast in faith, trusting God’s promises, and shining His light to those around us. Let’s choose to be transformed, reconciled, and renewed in His presence!
